The Large Orange Sulphur is a rare stray from the far southern states. This mainly tropical butterfly has been found only once in Wisconsin and has not even been seen in Illinois or Iowa.

Similar species: The Orange-barred Sulphur is the only large sulphur that might be seen in Wisconsin.
