The Mallow Scrub-Hairstreak is a very rare stray in Wisconsin. The one record from Wisconsin represents the only record north of Florida in the eastern United States according to the Butterflies and Moths of North America web site.

Identifying characteristics: Below, the Mallow Scrub-Hairstreak, is a small, light gray Hairstreak with one small tail, two black dots on the wings margin, the largest and most conspicuous one near the tail, and prominent black postmedian bands on each wing.

Similar species: None in Wisconsin.

Habitat: Open disturbed areas in its normal range.

Flight: Multi-brooded in its range.

Abundance: An unlikely stray in Wisconsin.
