Blue-fronted Dancer
(Argia apicalis)
The Blue-fronted Dancer was seen commonly along the Fox and Wisconsin Rivers. The photo of the female on the bottom was taken in Elyria, Ohio along the Black River. I watched this female flying around for about five minutes as if nothing was the matter! The bottom two photos are both mature females, showing the differences possible in the coloration of this species.
